OUR PASTOR

Rev. Connie Turner, A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, born into the African Methodist Episcopal Church. I was raised in Detroit, Michigan from the age of six years old.

I am a graduate of Redford High School, Detroit Business Institute, Marygrove College (B.A. PSY), Ecumenical Theological Seminary (Urban Ministry), and currently enrolled in Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary (MDiv).

A mother of three and grandmother of eight. Family is very important to me and I love working with children and seniors.  I now have a blended family since marrying my fabulous husband, eight years ago, giving us a total of six children, 18 grandchildren, and two great grand-children altogether, we are one big happy family.

The gifts that I possess for ministry are my abilities to evangelize, preach and teach the word of God and bring people to Christ. I am an attentive listener, caring and compassionate leader. I love music, art, sightseeing, reading, singing, watching old movies and love spending quality time with my family. I am a kind, fun loving and humble person. I’ve never met a stranger. I love sharing my life experiences with others. A degree in Urban Ministry has equipped me to be sensitive to all people no matter the circumstance, no matter the need.

Rev. Lonnie E. Turner Jr., Elder,

I am the husband and associate reverend to Pastor Connie here at Beulah AME. I have studied under the AME theological seminary for five years and have been a part of the AME church for over forty years.

I was most recently ordained as a local elder in the 2021 Indiana conference year. Throughout my years in the AME church, I have served in several leadership capacities, including: Lay Organization, Steward pro-temp, Sunday School instructor, and a Bible Study instructor.

My passion is to lead souls to Christ, and to be the best reverend and leader I can be. My focus is being obedient to Gods purpose and will for my life. My personal interests include prison ministry, community activism, and visiting the sick and shut in.
